History

The Carissimi family began their coffee business already at the time of the war in 1939, specializing in the market of catering services.

It is a family passion.

Battista Carissimi, grandfather of the current executive director, was first active in the market of coffee substitutes, and then, in 1945, he dedicated himself only to the high-quality coffee. His work was continued with unique competence and powers by his wife Anice Vergano Carissimi and son Franco Carissimi, who thanks to his numerous trips to countries of coffee origin, entered into significant relations with leading coffee growers in Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Ethiopia, Kenya, India and Indonesia. Coffee brand Carissimi Caffé was created in the early 1980s.
